Maybe.. what I had in mind originally was that you can move around and press basic inputs to attack your opponent on a 2D plane like streetfighter. Then, at the exact same time you're trying to fight, there are DDR arrows that you need to press on time throughout the entire match to maybe do really cool moves or combos? A bullet hell of inputs that keeps you on your toes was the idea, although I never saw it working out lol.
